Chi-cheemaun season delayed until further notice
Another one of the casualties of the Covid-19 pandemic and all that goes with it is the delay of the start of the sailing season for the Chi-cheemaun.
Ferry services between Tobermory and Manitoulin Island scheduled to begin on May 1 have been delayed until further notice.
Sadly it also means the cancellation of two very popular spring time events - the Scenic City Order of Good Cheer Gourmet Cruise scheduled this year for April 25th; always a sell-out, the cruise raises money for charitable projects.
And the Spring Cruise set for April 30th, celebrating the trip from the Big Canoe's winter habour in Owen Sound to its summer home in Tobermory is also postponed until further notice. Customers with tickets may return their tickets for a refund.
In fact all group functions scheduled for the ship during the month of April have been cancelled.
They also include the Bluewater Regional Science and Technology Fair and the Grey County Young Professionals Networking Cruise.
At this time, Owen Sound Transportation will be in contact with customers with reservations on regularly scheduled sailings between May 1 and May 14 and will assist them with rescheduling transportation to a later date.
Please email email@example.com for information on obtaining the refund.
