Day off for thousands of Bluewater students

Thousands of kids across Grey Bruce have the day off as rotating teacher walk outs hit the Bluewater District School Board.
This is walk-out number five for the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation representing not only teachers but education workers as well which means public elementary and high schools are closed today across the region.
You'll see picket lines set up in four communities - including the offices of MPP's Bill Walker and Lisa Thompson - as well as at Saugeen District in Port Elgin and Walkerton District Community School.
All of the teachers unions have been ramping up their job action with public elementary teachers threatening to begin their own rotating walk outs next week while English Catholic teachers plan to walk out across the province next Tuesday, January 21st.
Bruce Grey Catholic District school board officials say that will mean all 13 of their elementary and secondary schools will be closed that day unless a deal is reached before then.
