Georgian Bluffs deferring property tax payments among other measures
The safety and wellbeing of the residents of the Township of Georgian Bluffs is our top priority.
In response to COVID-19, the Township of Georgian Bluffs is announcing the following changes effective March 22, 2020:
• The Tax instalment due on April 24th 2020 has been deferred to May 24th 2020. • Penalty and Interest will not be charged on outstanding tax and water accounts until June 1, 2020.
• Each residence may place TWO bags of household garbage at the curb on your regular scheduled day WITHOUT a bag tag. TWO additional bags of garbage may be place at the curb each week but WILL REQUIRE a bag tag on each additional bag. Total maximum bags allowed each week is 4 (Two without bag tags and two with bag tags).
• Restricted access to the terminal at the Wiarton Airport. Tenants within the terminal will be operating business as usual until further notice. All meeting space will be unavailable until further notice. Please note that the airport is being staffed as usual. Fuel sales will still be available through the card lock system and airside operations remain unchanged.
Staff will continue to monitor the situation and make changes as necessary.
