Owen Sound police charge former Bluewater teacher
Owen Sound Police have laid charges against a former occasional teacher with the Bluewater District School Board.
On November 21, the Criminal Investigations Branch arrested 35 year old Mark Bowers of Owen Sound in connection with historical allegations of sexual assault involving a minor while employed by the school board.
He's facing charges of sexual assault, sexual exploitation and uttering threats.
Bowers has not worked for the board in a number of years but was teaching at the former OSCVI when he parted ways with his employer.
He'll appear in Owen Sound court December 19th.
Owen Sound Police would like to speak with anyone who may have further information regarding this crime, or who feel they may be a victim of a similar crime.
