Road rage incident results in charges
On March 2 at around 3:30 pm, Grey Bruce OPP were dispatched to a confrontation between two motorists on Kemble Rock Road in Georgian Bluffs.
The altercation began following a near collision at an intersection north of Kemble.
The vehicles met up again a few kilometres down the road where one of the drivers blocked the road in order to stop the other.
The driver of the vehicle blocking the road exited with a machete in hand making threats.
The driver of the other vehicle managed to get by and left the scene without injuries.
OPP attended the area and located the suspect vehicle parked on the side of the road on Grey Road 1.
The driver, 33 year old, Andrew MILLER from Georgian Bluffs was arrested and charged with the following offences,
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, section 88 Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
- Two counts of failure to comply with release order, section 145(5)(a) CC
- Driving while under suspension, section 53(1) Highway Traffic Act
The accused was held for a bail hearing on March 3, 2020 and following the hearing was remanded into custody.
