Walker commends disbanded Hanover Kinsmen
Bill Walker commends Hanover Kinsmen who disbanded earlier this summer ~
I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to members of the Hanover Kinsmen Club for their more than eight decades of hard work to better the Town of Hanover.
There is no doubt the decision to disband the club was very difficult for the members, however it is important to remember the legacy of the club will live on in Hanover for many years.
The Hanover Kinsmen club has done outstanding work in the community the past 82 years.
I want to congratulate and thank the Club for hosting the annual Santa Claus Parade since 1963 and for its assistance with raising funds and doing other critical work for major projects such as: the original Kinsmen Pool, the Kinsmen Ball Diamonds, the original community centre and the Aquatic Centre.
It takes extraordinary commitment, dedication and passion to spend countless hours volunteering for the betterment of the community.
Kinsmen Club of Hanover members have been invaluable community servants for more than 80 years.
The club’s membership deserves praise for its many years of service.
Their hard work and enthusiasm helped accomplish many great things in Hanover.
I want to wish the retiring club members all the best in their future endeavours.
