DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE: Ben Gibbard's New Single
Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie has released a new solo music. The songs "Proxima B" and "Filler" which is a cover of a Minor Threat song. Ben first played "Proxima B" during the virtual concert for the Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum called Space Songs: Through the Distance. He also plans on doing more livestreams, but they'll be "slightly less frequent."
Today is the 23rd anniversary of Jeff Buckley's death by accidental drowning, and yesterday his former bandmate Gary Lucas, live-streamed the first of a two-part tribute. Gary spent most of the half-hour telling the story of how he and Jeff came to work together, with a song at the start and at the end. He promises that for part two on tomorrow at 3 p.m. -- he'll "shut up and play, as Frank [Zappa] once said."
