MUMFORD & SONS A New Track From a Garage
Mumford and Sons have released the "Garage Version" of the Delta song “Forever.” They recently rediscovered it while going through their archives. They made a video for the song using footage from the Delta tour. "Forever" will be released as a seven-inch single July 31st with their cover of The Grateful Dead's "Friend of the Devil" on the flip side.
The latest in Billie Joe Armstrong's "No Fun Mondays" covers series is a song by late punk legend Stiv Bators of the Dead Boys and Lords of the New Church. Check out the video for "Not That Way Anymore," which uses very old footage of Green Day playing in a club.
The acoustic guitar Kurt Cobain played at Nirvana's MTV Unplugged will go up on the auction block next month. It’s the same guitar that played a big part in the divorce between Frances Bean Cobain and her ex-husband, with Frances eventually giving the guitar to Silva as part of their settlement. The guitar will be sold at the Julien's Auctions Music Icons event, June 19th and 20th in Beverly Hills, California and online at JuliensAuctions.com. The starting estimate price is $1 million.
