Ginger Baker, one of the most influential drummers in rock history, died yesterday he was 80. No cause of death was given but he had been in failing health for some time. Ginger Baker will be remembered mostly for his work in Cream (with Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce) and in the short-lived super-group Blind Faith with Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood and the late Ric Grech.
Mumford and Sons have released a live EP to mark 10 years since their debut album. Sigh No... More Sessions is a digital-only release with five songs recorded during radio station appearances around the world in 2009 and 2010 while they were promoting Sigh No More. Sign No More sold more than three-million copies in the U.S. and spun off three Top 10 hits, "Little Lion Man," "The Cave" and "Roll Away Your Stone."
After teasing fans on social media over the past week, Ed O'Brien from Radiohead has finally released his first-ever solo track. It's called "Santa Teresa," and it's an instrumental. A video for it is up here. Ed is using EOB as the name for the project, but the album won't be all-instrumental, as he tweeted, "Songs to come soon."
