Bruce Springsteen has released another track from his upcoming album Letter to You. "Ghosts" is one of the songs partyly inspired by the death of George Theiss, his bandmate in his late 60s group The Castilles. Springsteen tells us his death in 2018 helped break a dry spell of writing songs for the E Street Band. Yesterday, The Pixies released a video for "Hear Me Out." It’s the first new song from them since their Beneath the Aerie album, it's part of a double-A-side single -- along with a cover of T. Rex's "Mambo Sun" -- that will be released on October 16th. The clip, which was shot in Taos, New Mexico.
Kurt Vile's duet with the late John Prine is on his new EP that's coming out October 2nd. Speed, Sound, Lonely KV was recorded over four years at The Butcher Shoppe studio in Nashville and it has a couple of originals along with some covers.
