ADOPTED! HTZ Houndz: Adoptable Dog of the Week - Tango
Hey HTZ Nation, back with another HTZ Hound adoptable dog of the week. I’d like to introduce you to Tango. He is a retriever mix who I had the pleasure of meeting this week at Martindale Kennels and Grooming. He is currently available for adoption from Niagara Dog Rescue.
At nearly two years old, Tango has plenty of young dog energy; with even more love to give. When Steph, a volunteer from Niagara Dog Rescue, brought Tango out, I was immediately bombarded with licks and affection. I mean, I kind of asked for it, he was too adorable not to. However, after a few jumps and licks, Tango settled down and was ready for a walk.
Tango is a pretty big boy at around 75 pounds, but he handles his size responsibly. As someone whose had multiple big dogs in my life, as well as walked even more as professional dog walker, I can honestly say even with his youthful exuberance, Tango was one of the easiest dogs I have ever walked. He is the perfect dog for someone with an active lifestyle who loves to adventure. Tango seems like the perfect trail walking dog, and just in time for spring!
We also took plenty of stops on our walk; which in Tango’s eyes, meant it was the perfect time to hand out some more affection as you can probably tell by the photos. Tango’s ideal forever home will teach him boundaries, he needs guidance to know when is it the right time to curl up for a kiss and cuddle session, and when is it time to stay planted on all fours and greet guests appropriately. Tango will also do best as the only dog in the house.
Tango has spent almost his entire life in shelters or with a foster and its time that this incredible sweet, loyal and playful boy finds a forever home. If you would like more information on Tango, check out his profile here.
Lastly, a special alert to our listener’s in America, please check out Puppy Mutts Rescue. They are currently in need of fosters in western New York, if you or someone you know stateside would like to take care of a puppy or young dog who isn’t old enough to be fostered in Canada yet, please send them their way.
