HTZ Hounds: Adoptable Dog of the Week – Gizmo
Victoria Day long weekend has come and gone but it left us with a gift of summer weather. It’s time to spend as much time as you can in your big, fenced in backyard, soaking up the sunshine. Maybe you’re looking around your yard and noticing that there’s something missing. Before running out to buy a new patio set or some potted plants, take a look at Gizmo, from the Niagara Dog Rescue.
Gizmo is a two-year-old Red Heeler cross looking for a forever home. He is good with kids, and plays well with other female dogs. His fosters believe he will make an excellent family dog. It should be noted that Gizmo is unsure of other male dogs, and is looking for a home with no cats.
Gizmo is still learning his house training and crate training, but is okay on his leash for walks. Ideally, he would go to an owner who is active and would love to spend time outside with him. He is very agile and can jump shorter fences, so a big yard with tall fencing is best for Gizmo.
If you’d like to read more about Gizmo’s story, you can find it here. And to find out how you can bring home your new yard buddy, click here. Share your Canadian summer with a brand new four-legged friend. And if you already have a four-legged friend, make sure you check them over for Ticks as the season is upon us.
Thanks again as always to Vets, Vet techs, volunteers and shelter staff who are making a difference in the lives animals during Covid-19. We see you, and appreciate you! Stay home and stay safe HTZ Nation!
