Hey HTZ Nation, it’s Jonathon back with a brand new pup looking for a forever home. Nelson from the Niagara Dog Rescue is our HTZ Hounds: Adoptable Dog of the Week.  This 5 year old handsome man is a golden retriever and german shepherd mix who weighs about 70 lbs.

Nelson would do best in a home with a yard as he does enjoy his morning exercise. However, with regualry walking, could also live in an apartment. A home with kids is okay as long as they are older, he has never been around young children. Nelson does need a home with no other dogs though, as he can be dog selective.

His foster describes him as “a very sweet boy” who is “clean and very well behaved”. They also say Nelson is a fan of soft beds and has showed no destructive tendencies to his bed or toys. Lastly, Nelson “is all about anything that gets him attention.”
