HTZ Hounds: Adoptable Dog of the Week - Oliver
Hey HTZ Nation, Jonathon back with a big love looking for a home. This week’s HTZ Hound is Oliver from the Niagara Dog Rescue. He is a lab/boxer mix who is between 4-5 years old. At 97lbs, he is described as a big goofball, and is happy to be your exercise buddy, but doesn’t mind a lazy afternoon on the couch either.
Oliver’s previous owner made the difficult decision to try to rehome Oliver when they were forced to begin travelling for work more often. Oliver is now searching for a new family to join. He would prefer to go to a home that has older children, as he is prone to knocking little ones over due to his size. He will also need a home with no cats, as he has a high prey drive. As far as dogs go, his foster says Oliver has begun to make some friends, but it would be best for him to be the only dog in the house due to his dog reactivity on his leash.
Oliver would love to have a yard he can play in with high fences. He is a big fan of hiking and playing ball. If you’re an active household, Oliver will fit in. His fosters, have nothing but good things to say about this big country boy, which you can read here. If you’d like to adopt Oliver, you can fill out an application here, and if he isn’t the right fit for you, please view the other animals looking for homes from Niagara Dog Rescue, and be sure to share their stories and help us to end dog homelessness in the Niagara Region. Remember no one can do everything, but everyone can do something.
