Hey HTZ Nation, it's Jonathon here. That time again, HTZ Houndz: Adoptable Dog of the Week. Somewhere, I am about to break the heart of Barney Stinson, as he is no longer the only one who is awesome. From Niagara Dog Rescue, meet Barney.

He is a 3 year old Tree Walker Coonhound looking for his forever home. Barney is about 60 lbs with a good bit of energy still. He needs multiple 20 minute walks a day. Like most hounds, he tends to pull on his walks a great deal, usuing the powerful noise to track all the amazing outdoor smells. His foster reccommends he will need a home that has a backyard with tall fences (at least 6ft) as Barney can climb.

Barney's ideal home will have no children, and no cats or small animals to chase. He is friendly with all adults and most dogs but can be protective over his food. As far as house and crate training goes, Barney is pretty responsible. He is non destructive and will sleep through the night on his own bed,  but does love a good snuggle session on the couch.

If Barney sounds like the hound for you, read more about him here. Then fill out an adoption application here. And as always be sure to check out all the amazing dogs available through Niagara Dog Rescue. Rescuing a dog like Barney is a beyond Legen- wait for it - Dary experience, so lets get the word out, and find some great dogs their forever homes.
