HTZ Houndz: Adoptable Dog of the Week – Kiera
How’s it going HTZ Nation, Jonathon here with another adoptable dog of the week for your consideration. Meet Kiera, the 5 year old, Akita mix, from Niagara Dog Rescue. This sweet girl has spent far too much time on the street and needs her forever family.
Kiera was found on the streets with another dog as a stray. Her foster believes she has been alone for a very long time as she lacks the social skills most dogs would learn from their mother. As a result, Kiera is very skittish, and will need a patient and understanding owner. She is house trained, and will get along with other dogs but can be distrusting of humans.
She will do best in a home with a fenced in back yard and no children as she is still learning to be around adults. If you are interested in adopting Kiera, click here to fill out an application and please be patient as this process can take 10 – 15 days and always check your junk mail for responses. You can also see more of Kiera and all the other dogs available through Niagara Dog Rescue here.
Lastly, if you or someone you know has a large sprinter style van, or any kind of van that can help transport dogs across the border, Niagara Dog Rescue needs you! There are currently 33, dogs waiting just over the border who need transporting to Canada to be with their new owners.
