Hey HTZ Nation, Jonathon back at it again, searching the region for folks in need of a four legged best friend. This week I have a case that means alot to me. My dog Finn was rescued from a high kill shelter as a puppy and brought to Canada for a second shot at life. This week's Hound is looking to do the very same, from Niagara Dog Rescue, meet Tom.

Tom is a 2 year old male Lab/Retriever mix. He weighs about 57 lbs and has a beautiful coat and markings. Tom will do best in a home with no small children, no dogs and no cats. Tom is all about his people and would like home where he can be with, and bond with an experienced dog owner.

Tom loves to run and would love a home with a backyard. His fosters say he has a good temperment, and he is described as friendly and loving. Tom even has some of his basic commands down.

If you would like to read more about Tom, click here. You can also see all of the dogs available through Niagara Dog Rescue here, and you can fill out an adoption application by clicking here. Please be patient with the status of your application as it can take up to 3 weeks for volunteers to contact you. Lasty, remember, no one can do everything but everyone can do something.
