Kingston Police 3

A Kingston man faces charges after an argument on Montreal Street escalated to the point where a knife was pulled.

Officers were called to a residence on Montreal Street near Raglan Road around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, where a man was seen yelling at another man before he pulled a large knife from his clothes and began swinging it in a threatening manner at the 42-year-old man.

No one was hurt and police said the suspect fled the scene into a Montreal Street home where he was later found hiding behind a bed.

The 38-year-old is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.
