Golf Day raises $173,500 for Brockville General Hospital
It was another successful golf tournament at the Brockville Country Club.
The Friends of Palliative Care Golf Day, a revised version of the beloved Friends of Palliative Care Golf Tournament, raised $173,500 during the two-day event which saw 260 golfers.
This exceeded the organizer's hopes of raising $150,000.
It looked a little different this year, as golfers teed up in intervals rather than a shotgun start and there was no live auction or gala at the end.
It was the tournament's 27th year, an event has raised over $3.7 million since it began. The golf tournament is one of two major fundraisers for the palliative care service at Brockville General Hospital, alongside the February telethon.
