Illegal drugs and firearms seized at two locations in Edwardsburgh-Cardinal Township

Three people are facing charges at two locations in Edwardsburgh-Cardinal Township after illegal drugs and firearms were seized by Ontario Provincial Police.

Officers executed search warrants on Sept 2. at residences on Dundas Street and County Road 2, where they seized suspected crystal meth, cocaine and counterfeit prescription pills suspected to contain fentanyl. 

Along with other times typically associated with drug trafficking, officers also found a 22-calibre loaded handgun, ammunition and over $8,000 in Canadian currency.

21-year-old Sam Reid and 55-year-old Kenneth Reid are facing multiple charges. A 17-year-old female from South Dundas is also facing charges. 

Both adults had a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on Thursday. Meanwhile, the 17-year-old was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville in October.
