Ministry of Transportation studying future of Highway 401 through Brockville corridor
The future of Highway 401 will be studied through the Brockville corridor, which will include making plans for a future six or eight lane freeway.
The Ministry of Transportation has launched an environmental assessment of the area two kilometres west of Stewart Boulevard to almost a kilometre east of North Augusta Road.
The work will also cover bridge replacement, changes to the makeup of interchanges and will address future traffic flow along the highway stretch.
Two public meetings will be held before then, though the dates have not yet been chosen. The final report will be subject to a 30 day review.
