Nearly 2,000 cannabis plants seized in Tyendinaga Townshop
Two men from Scarborough have been charged after Ontario Provincial Police seized about 2,000 cannabis plants in Tyendinaga Township.
On Sept. 1, officers executed a warrant at a location on McCullough Road. While there, they seized the plants along with a variety of equipment used for production of cannabis.
51-year-old Naibing Yu and 60-year-old Yimingzai Yu have been charged with propagating and harvesting more than four cannabis plants, along with possession of proceeds obtained by the cirme.
They have since been released and are now scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Nov. 3.
