Conservation Authority Issues Watershed Conditions Statement
The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority is urging you to use caution around dams and fast flowing watercourses.
A Watershed Conditions Statement from the CRCA suggests that higher temperatures and forecasted rain could send water levels much higher than normal for this time of year.
Staff also suggest you stay off the ice on local watercourses, as water levels could cause unpredictable ice conditions on some lakes in our area. Creek banks and lake shorelines may be slippery, increasing the chance of falling in.
