Amber Portwood Cops Deal in Machete Case
Amber Portwood may avoid jail time after striking a plea deal in her domestic violence case, TMZ reports. The Teen Mom OG star has pleaded guilty to two felonies, domestic battery and intimidation.
As part of the deal, she’s agreed to serve 906 days probation; if she successfully completes the probation period, the domestic charge will be dropped and the intimidation charge will be reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor.
Portwood will also enroll in a 26-week Batterers’ Intervention Program, submit to random urine and breath testing and will not be able to contact her ex-boyfriend Andrew Glennon, except when making custody exchanges of their 1-year-old son, James.
Portwood was arrested in July after Glennon called cops, saying she attacked him with a machete while he was holding their son. Portwood temporarily lost custody and has been battling with Glennon on custody since.
