Christina Aguilera Breaks Down At Domestic Violence Shelter


Christina Aguilera broke down while talking about her experience with domestic violence as a child at a women's shelter. According to TMZ, the singer accepted a Community Hero award last week in Las Vegas at a gala for The Shade Tree Shelter. She told audience that if it wasn't for her grandmother, she would have ended up at a place like the Shade Tree. 

Aguilera also praised the shelter's employees and volunteers for their work and said that it's dear to her heart and has been an inspiration to her music, including songs like "Fighter" and "Beautiful."

She told the audience that they all deserved the share the award with her.

The singer has been involved in several organizations and charities aiming to raise awareness and support for domestic violence survivors for years.
