Corey Taylor Plays Slipknot Show Despite Injured Foot

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor badly hurt his foot at a recent concert but kept on playing anyway in true Slipknot fashion.

Just as the group was getting ready to hit the stage last Monday (February 24th) in Helsinki, Finland, an oxygen tank fell on Taylor's foot, injuring him to the point where he thought his bones were broken.

Taylor told the crowd at one point, "There's no way that we're not f**king playing this f**king show, I'm just letting you know. I may have to hobble around, and just fight through it. But I'm gonna give you everything I've got, goddamn it."

In footage taken of Taylor's speech as well as the band’s performance of “Nero Forte,” Taylor does stay glued to the center of the stage, and it’s clear he was in a lot of pain -- whether the foot is broken or not.

Taylor told us a while back that it would take something serious for Slipknot to cancel a show or tour: ["You know, we take very great pride in the fact that we've only left a tour a couple of times, you know, and they were for very, very serious reasons. It's just what we do, you know. I mean, we don't know how to quit. We just don't know how to stop, it's insane."] SOUNDCUE (:13 OC: . . . stop, it's insane.)

That Helsinki show was the last of Slipknot's recent European run. The band is scheduled to head over to Asia this month before returning to the U.S. in May.
