Fans Irritated Over VIP Package Prices For Hella Mega Tour
A number of fans online are not pleased with the VIP packages being offered for the Hella Mega tour, which will take place next summer and feature Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy. Tickets officially go on sale this Friday (September 20th) at 10:00 a.m. local time.
But some fans are not happy with the high price of a VIP ticket, especially since it doesn’t include a meet-and-greet with the bands. The cheapest VIP package reportedly costs $229, while the priciest one is about $650.
The biggest issue fans have with the most expensive package is that it includes a premium ticket, a backstage tour, access to a lounge with snacks, a tour laminate and merch -- but no chance to meet the bands.
Fans expressed their outrage on Twitter, with one posting, "i'm SCREAMING some of the hella mega vip packages are like $600 and they don't even include m&g." Another wrote, "$650 for vip on hella mega WITHOUT meeting fob or green day or weezer? That can hella mega f**k off."
The Hella Mega stadium tour will kick off in Europe next June and hit North America after that, starting on July 17th in Seattle. All three acts have released new songs to promote the trek.
