T.I. LAUNCHING A NEW WEEKLY PODCAST: T.I. has announced the launch of his weekly podcast called ExpediTIously. According to HotNewHipHop, the new podcast — which got its name from Tip’s rant about Kodak Black, will focus on addressing social issues, relationships and “critical issues that impact us a society.” The rapper told People magazine, “I’m becoming more and more known for my opinions. I looked at my interactions on social media and realized that that platform wasn’t robust enough to flush out my ideas. In order to give those ideas a fair chance to breathe, I think my opinion requires a little more time and dialogue.” He added, “I think any time you share your perspective and open your views and opinions with the world, it’s impossible not to learn something. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised with the diversity of my personality, and how dark my sense of humor is!” The podcast will consist of “intellectual conversations with celebrities, activists, influencers.” ExpediTIously will launch on September 5th exclusively on Apple Music and Podcast One.

NIPSEY HUSSLE’S DAUGHTER ATTENDING GRIEF COUNSELING: According to TMZ, Nipsey Hussle’s daughter, Emani, has been attending grief counseling sessions with her mother Tanisha Foster. Foster, reps for Lauren London and Nipsey’s brother Sam Asghedom appeared in court in L.A. on Thursday (August 29th). The hearing was closed to the public, but Foster’s attorney revealed that her monitored visits with Emani have been going well. In court documents obtained by TMZ, Foster’s attorney said that she and Emani have been meeting with a grief counselor and are making “excellent progress and are both benefiting” from the sessions. Foster did have one issue, which was that the court was informed of Emani being dropped off more than two hours late for a scheduled visit last week. She says that she was simply told that there was traffic. The judge has set an October 15th trial date for custody of Emani. Asghedom has also been named permanent administrator of Nipsey’s estate.

XXXTENTACION MURDER SUSPECT WANTS TESTIMONY THROWN OUT: One of the four men accused of XXXTentacion’s murder has accused police of violating his rights when they questioned him. According to The Blast, Michael Boatwright is asking that his testimony not be allowed in court. He was reported arrested on an unrelated drug charge on June 5th, 2018. Boatwright’s lawyer claims that the homicide detective who was working on the case investigated him as a possible suspect in the late rapper’s murder. Boatwright said the detective immediately began asking “background” questions. Eight minutes into the questioning, Boatwright said he told the officer he “don’t wanna talk no more.” The lawyer said that despite Boatwright no longer wanting to speak, the police continued asking questions. The officer then allegedly had someone else come into the room and take photos and DNA from Boatwright. It was after this that the cop allegedly read Boatwright his Miranda rights. The officer allegedly said, “Just tell me to f**k off then. So I know you’re done.”
