Quickies: Katy Perry, Lady Gaga & BTS

KATY PERRY RELEASES ‘WHAT MAKES A WOMAN?' SONG & VIDEO: Katy Perry has released a new song from her upcoming album Smile, along with a video. The track, "What Makes a Woman," is one that Katy has frequently mentioned as one of her favorites on the record. Katy sings the song on a sound stage with her band; the members who aren't singing are wearing masks. "What Makes a Woman" is about the fact that women have so many different sides that you just can't pin them down – and you shouldn't try to. Smile is out on August 28th.

STARS ADDED TO LADY GAGA'S ‘GUCCI' CAST: The upcoming Gucci movie starring Lady Gaga has added several stars to the cast. The Oscar-winning performer is set to play Maurizio Gucci's ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, who "was tried and convicted of orchestrating his assassination on the steps of his office in 1995," according to Deadline. Patrizia served 18 years in jail and was released in 2016. Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Jack Huston and Reeve Carney are all in talks to join the cast of the film, which will be directed by Ridley Scott.

BTS has dropped their new song "Dynamite" as well as the colorful music video to go with it. This is the K-Pop group's second English-only single and they'll be performing the track at the upcoming MTV VMAs later this month. BTS announced the song last month and said they wanted to release a song to give their fans some joy during these difficult times. The group said, "Due to COVID-19, people around the world have been going through tough times and we wanted to share some positive energy with our fans."
