Guitar legend Steve Vai was at the KISS and David Lee Roth concert in Los Angeles. And like any other fan in the audience, he went home and posted about it on Twitter. He wrote, “Decided to go out last night and see KISS and David Lee Roth at the Staples Center. I’m sure glad I did. My wife Pia and I were in nostalgic bliss.”

Along with posting a video of Paul Stanley flying through the audience, he wrote about the first time he saw KISS when he was 14 years old: “When Kiss Alive came out in 1975 it was as if the gods of rock and roll theatrical entertainment manifested them from our wanting imaginations. We were all God smacked.”

Vai played with Roth on his 1986 album Eat 'Em And Smile as well as its 1988 follow-up, Skyscraper.
