System Of A Down Announce European Tour
System Of A Down just announced several dates for a European tour. Earlier this year, we reported that the band’s frontman, Serj Tankian recorded Blue Oyster Cult’s classic, “Godzilla” for the Godzilla: King of The Monsters soundtrack, but other than that, there’s been no sign of any new music. The last time they released an album was in 2005.
In an interview late last year, bassist, Shavo Odadjian told Consequence of Sound, “Between you and me and this world, and to the people who read this interview, we have material that tops everything we’ve done. And that’s me telling you, honestly. I can’t wait to record that and drop it.”
However, guitarist-singer, Daron Malakian didn’t sound nearly as hopeful, and said, “I don’t see that happening anytime soon - that we’re all going to get together and make a new System Of A Down album.”
The announcement of a tour came after the band revealed a few festival dates. The month long trek kicks off next June at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
