Tory Lanez revealed in a recent interview that he misses his friend and former collaborator, 6ix9ine. While speaking to Complex News, Tory said, “I don't know how he's gonna feel when he gets out of jail. I don't know what he's got going on in his life. Personally, whatever it is, music is music, bro, at the end of the day. However it happens for him. As a person, bro, and regardless of whatever he did, I kinda miss that guy. That was my n***a. He's a funny guy. As a person, he was a funny guy. Maybe n***as won't say that or won't say...I really just don't care. I don't give a f**k about how people view me. N***as don't like me already. I don't care.” However, the recorded interview surfaced after 6ix9ine testified against members of the Nine Trey Bloods gang.

Tory has since clarified his comments. He wrote on his Instagram Story, “Let's get one thing clear. I do not condone any form of telling, snitching, or anything of that sort. When I spoke about 6ix9ine it was four-five days ago (before him taking the stand)... I have real family that did real time becuz [sic] of this and I don't play about that at all. How ever [sic] I will say like I said, when he was out he was funny guy and a entertainer, and what seemed to be a genuine dude. And that side of him is the side of him I remember.”

He continued, “One thing Y'all not gone do tho, is make it seem like I condone any talking on a stand or any kind of snitch sh*t. Showing LOVE to somebody who you made records with is VERY different than CONDONING SOMEONES ACTIONS.”
