Waka Flocka Says He Was 'Whack' in His Heyday, But 'At Least I was Real'

In an interview with media group Everyday Struggle, hip-hop artist Waka Flocka has revealed  he was "whack" in his heyday, "but hey, at least I was real!!!"

The artist opened up about accomplishing his goals in the music industry, how he made over $30 million in 2012 for producing chart-topping hits, and despite his successes, holds onto his self-deprecating sense of humor. He cites his lyrical heroes, Nas and KRS-One,  and reveals he feels he isn't near them in the game, but also says that his ability to keep it real is what saves him. The artist believes that is the quality that has earned him respect in the industry, more than his talent.

Despite his humble stance on his career's successes, Waka Flocka is responsible for a plethora of hits in the past decade that fans have undeniably enjoyed.
