City facilities closed in honour of Remembrance Day
The Community Centre, McLaren Arena, Penticton Library and Penticton Museum & Archives will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 11 in honour of Remembrance Day. City Hall and City Yards will be closed on Monday, Nov. 13 in observance of the holiday. A reminder that the Museum is also regularly closed Mondays. City Hall and City Yards will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 14. All other facilities reopen with regular hours on Sunday, Nov. 12. For those interested in attending Remembrance Day ceremonies, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 40 parade will form at Penticton Trade and Convention Centre parking lot Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m., followed by a ceremony inside the facility at 10:30 am. An outdoor ceremony will also be held at 10:30 a.m. at Veteran’s Park in the 100 block of Main Street.
