MADD Central Okanagan Chapter hosting annual Candlelight Vigil

On Sunday, October 6th, MADD Central Okanagan Chapter will come together with the families and friends of those killed as a result of impaired driving for a special candlelight vigil ceremony.

The annual ceremony of remembrance gives family and friends an opportunity to pay tribute to their loved ones.

This annual ceremony give families and friends a place where they can remember and reflect on their loved ones who have been lost to this senseless and preventable crime.

“Impaired driving devastates individuals, families and communities,” said MADD Central Okanagan Chapter Director Alison McLeod. “Our candlelight ceremony of remembrance gives us an opportunity to honour the innocent victims of impaired driving, offer support and understanding to their families and friends and raise awareness of the tragic toll this crime takes so we can prevent it from happening to others.”
