More than half of COVID-19 cases in Interior Health under age of 40

Forty-six percent of COVID-19 cases in Interior Health fall between age 20 and 39. 

While only 39 of the 531 total case count are 70 years of age or older. 

Despite disproportionately affecting young adults, COVID-19 seems to have hit men and women equally region. 

Twenty-eight cases remain active and one person is in hospital. 

Interior Health has seen two deaths since the pandemic began.
