Election of the Chair and Vice-Chair
The Regional Board re-elected Loyal Wooldridge as the Board Chair and elected Kevin Kraft, Electoral Area East Director, as the Vice-Chair for the upcoming year.
Administrative Overhead policy review
The Regional Board received an update from the Director of Financial Services and supported an amendment to the Administrative Overhead Policy to better align the allocation of costs with the services provided across the region. The amended policy will be brought back to the Board for approval.
Updated meeting schedule and Procedure Bylaw
The Regional Board approved a revised meeting schedule for the 2024 year and adopted an amendment to the Regional Board Procedure Bylaw related to the schedule of meetings, the provision of notice for a cancelled or changed meeting and the process for bylaw readings and adoption at the same meeting.
UBCM grant application for fire services support
The Regional Board supported a 2024 Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) Grant application for approximately $115,00 for RDCO Fire Department training and equipment expenditures.
