Six arrested in Joe Rich police raid
Six people are facing potential charges after police raided a home in Joe Rich.
On Wednesday, RCMP officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 7500 block of Falcon Road. Workers from Fortis BC were also on site, and cut power to the area prior to the raid.
While police searched the home, six people were placed under arrest. The two males and four females have since been released and are expected to appear in court at a later date.
“These types of investigations are labourious and our investigators worked tirelessly to secure the evidence,” said Cpl. Meghan Foster. “Police officers seized $1400 in cash, 95 pounds of dried marijuana bud and nearly 2000 plants.”
Police from West Kelowna executed the search even though the home isn't located within city limits.
“The policing jurisdiction for Joe Rich is the West Kelowna RCMP and while the optics of this may pose as a logistical hurdle for our investigators, the results of yesterday should reassure the public that it is not,”
