Temporary detour required for portion of 27A Avenue
Two separate road construction projects will require the temporary closure of 27A Avenue starting this week.
Starting as early as 7:30 a.m. Friday, a section of 27A Avenue between 28th Avenue and Highway 6 will be open for local traffic only, while crews complete line painting and sign installation on the 28th Avenue reconstruction project.
In addition, 27A Avenue will remain closed next week, while crews upgrade sewer infrastructure. Work is anticipated to be completed by 4:00 p.m., November 10. Please note, these timelines may change if emergencies arise.
Detours will remain available on 29th and 30th Avenues (please see map below).
Local traffic will still be able to access businesses and residences in the area.
Motorists are reminded to slow down in construction and detour zones, and obey all traffic control measures. The City thanks everyone for their patience and understanding while this work is being completed.
