Search Warrants Executed - Arrest Made in Penticton
Police in Penticton arrest man for prohibited driving and subsequently seize drugs and stolen property.
On July 14th, 2019, Officers in Penticton arrested Devon Dean White for prohibited driving and possession of a controlled substance. The vehicle White was driving was searched and resulted in the recovery of thirty pieces of identification. Other property suspected of being stolen from the Apex Ski Resort area on July 12th or 13th, was also seized. White appeared in court on July 15th and was remanded in custody until July 31st pending further investigation.
On July 16th and 17th, General Duty Officers, and along with the newly formed “Street Enforcement Unit” executed two search warrants at an apartment on Sydney Street in Penticton, BC, along with a U-Haul truck. Numerous additional stolen documents and identification was found which Officers believe the suspect were in possession of for the purpose of identity theft.
Also recovered was a stolen dirt bike from a break and enter in Okanagan Falls, BC, which had occurred on July 12th. Additionally, property from the Apex break and enter, property from a break and enter to the “Edge Water Marina” in Peachland, BC, and cheques stolen from the “Roll N Stones” in Penticton, was also found.
The investigation is continuing, and additional charges are anticipated.
