It may not feel like it after the last couple of days, but most of the province has near normal snowpack for this time of year.
The BC River Forecast Centre says early season snowpack was slow to develop, but has rapidly accumulated since mid December
The Okanagan’s snowpack, as of Jan. 1, is 94% of normal. Snow reports from Silver Star Mountain Resort show the amount of snow in higher elevation areas is really starting to accumulate. The resort has had 44cm of snow in the past week and 360cm cumulative.
