Ex-Sun coach lands new gig

A former head coach of the Okanagan Sun is back in junior football.

Gavin Lake is the new head coach of the 'London Beefeaters' of the Ontario Football Conference.

Lake was fired from the Sun in October of 2012 after leading the team to a 3 and 7 record.

He spent the 2007 season with the CFL’s B.C. Lions as an assistant coach in the defensive secondary.

In 2010, Lake was the offensive assistant coach with the University of Calgary that went on to the Vanier Cup final.

Lake has also coached in Austria.
