Rockets busy selecting American talent

The Kelowna Rockets made two selections in today's 'first ever' WHL-US Draft.

The team selected 14 year-old Wyatt Olson from Maple Grove Minnesota with the 15th overall pick.

Then with the 30th overall pick, the team took forward Finn Brinks from Plymouth, Minnesota.   

Meantime, the Regina Pats will likely select 15 year-old Connor Bedard in next months WHL bantam draft.

Bedard is the top rated prospect after receiving exceptional status by the league to play next season as a 15 year-old. 

While the Pats will select first overall....Prince George Cougars will select second.

The Kelowna Rockets will select eighth.

The draft goes April 22nd.
