 Most voters will cast their ballots in the country's 43rd general election today, but about 4.7-million voted in advance polls over Thanksgiving weekend - which was a 29 per cent increase over 2015.

To vote, you must be a Canadian citizen, be at least 18 years old and prove your identity and address.  To find your polling station, check your voter information card.   

If you're not registered you can still register when you go to vote at your polling station, which you can find on the Elections Canada website by clicking here.  

Polls are open in BC from 7am till 7pm.
