Dodge to discontinue Challenger, Charger next year

(Detroit, MI)  --  Dodge is getting rid of a pair of well-known muscle cars.  

The automaker will discontinue the gas-powered Challenger and Charger at the end of next year.

The announcement comes as the company transitions to electric vehicles.

Dodge has produced the Charger since 2005 and the Challenger since 2008.
