Dozens Rappel From CIBC Building to Raise Funds for Make-A-Wish

An experience of a life time.

That's how some of the participates are describing their rappel from the 15-storey CIBC Building in downtown Windsor.

The annual Make-A-Wish "Rope for Hope" event took place on Friday from 11am until 2pm.

John Berg was one of the 25 participates.

He says his niece will be receiving a wish soon and that's why he wanted to take part in the event.

"It was definitely an experience, legs are still feeling a little weak," says Berg.  "It was pretty high but it was awesome, looking forward doing it again next year."

Berg says his fear kept his adrenaline down.

"My legs were weak, hanging over the edge there and then just trusting that all of this works and having a good time," says Berg.

James Dannemann was one of the 25 participates.

He represented Scotia Bank and says it was an incredible experience.

"It's even hard to describe right now, we just landed and you feel very nervous, standing on the edge and kind of looking down and putting your life in somebody else's hands is pretty bond but we feel pretty good about it and I'm glad I did it," says Dannemann.

While a total has not yet been released, this year's fundraising goal is $50,000.

Last year $40,000 was raised.
