A Snugly Donation to Windsor Regional Hospital

Despite being sick, there are some smiling children at Windsor Regional Hospital thanks to Peoples The Diamond Store.

The store at Devonshire Mall and Tecumseh Malls hosted a teddy bear program where customers can purchase a teddy bear for $17.99 to donate.

37 fluffy teddy bears were donated Wednesday morning to the hospital's Child Life Services Program.

Dominic Nicodemo, 8, received his teddy bear which made his very happy.

"I think he is really cute and he is really nice and I love his name. His name is Jack," he says.  "He is a nice, friendly bear.  I'm going to put him on my bed and I'm going to snuggle him."

Peoples Store Manager at Devonshire Krystal Deschamps says making a child happy is priceless.

"Just to see a child happy, that smile on their face, where they may be going through a rough time in the hospital."

This is the second year for the teddy bear program.

In the first year of the program, 100 teddy bears were donated.
