Accused to Stand Trial for First Degree Murder of Windsor Mom

A Canadian man charged in the death of a Windsor mother has been committed to stand trial on a charge of first degree murder.

Two weeks had been set aside in September for the preliminary hearing of Jitesh Bhogal who was arrested in the death of 31-year-old Autumn Taggart.

The hearing determines whether there is enough evidence to proceed to trial.

Bhogal will also stand trial on charges of aggravated sexual assault and break and enter.

Taggart, who was also known as Maya Madolyn, was killed in her apartment on University Ave. West and McKay Ave. on June 10th, 2018.

She died of blunt force trauma.

Bhogal, 28, was arrested in Washington State in August of last year.

Police said her 10-year-old son was in the apartment at the time of the murder.
