Additional Closures and Cancellations in Chatham-Kent

Chatham-Kent added additional closures and cancellations in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic Friday night.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby announced the cancellation of all day camps, recreation, arts and culture and March Break programs indefinitely.

According to a statement from the town, refunds will be issued where possible for those services.

All town facilities will remain open, with limited access to interactive exhibitions.

Ticketholders to events at the Capitol and Kiwanis Theatres will be updated on cancellations on a day by day basis.

The town declared an emergency Friday morning banning mass gatherings and closing childcare facilities and schools.

Protocols have also been put in place to monitor residents when they return from travelling through hotbeds for the virus.
