Arrest Made After Stolen Car Crashes into Windsor Home


A suspect has been arrested in a shocking crash where a vehicle ended up inside a home in Windsor. 

Officers were called to Jefferson Blvd. near South National St. around 2:30 a.m. Saturday after a car collided with a house, then burst into flames. 

No injuries were reported. 

Once the fire was out, officers were able to inspect the vehicle, which was determined to be a white Chevy Impala which had been stolen from the 1000 block of Ford Blvd. 

Officers learned the car was seen travelling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash and two people, a man and a woman, fled the area. 

A suspect was identified and was arrested around 6:30 a.m. Monday on Enfield Pl on the city's east side. 

A Windsor man, 27, is facing a charge of possession of stolen property under $5,000.
